NLSM athletes and management were invited by Star Cineplex – SKS Tower to watch the final game of FIFA World Cup 2022 Argentina vs France.
It’s true, watching a well-scripted and directed movie in a theatre is a fine experience, but watching the most tense, nail-biting final – that too with Lionel Messi and Argentina winning the trophy – defeats the best of movies by a long shot, at least for us sports enthusiasts.
Thanks to Star Cineplex for creating a stadium-like atmosphere for us, complete with food and beverages. It was a great team-bonding session for our athletes. “Being able to watch the World Cup in the theatre with my companions made the experience priceless,” said Hammam, one of NL Academy’s senior athletes.
